About Slice Of Life Enrichment School
Slice of Life Enrichment School was created to meet the needs of children and adults who wish to complement traditional education with classes designed to broaden cultural horizons through greater exposure to the beautiful disciplines of music, languages, and art.
We are proud to be celebrating SIX years in 2023 in our community fostering artistic discovery and collaboration among children and adults of all ages. We are also a vendor for Gorman, Heartland, Ilead, Mojave River, Compass, Excel Academy, Monarch River, Valley Oak Charter Schools, Blue Ridge Academy and more.
Ask about how we can help you, your children or your group learn together in our inviting open creative spaces. We offer classes virtually and in person and this will vary with each instructor. We also rent our beautiful facilities for clubs, life events, and meetings!

MUSIC:
OUR PIANO PROGRAM ~ LEARN TO REALLY PLAY!
THE JOY OF MAKING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC...

Learn to read music and play the piano in all well-known genres including classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. We offer more than traditional weekly lessons to help you get there!
In addition to private weekly lessons, all of our pianists are invited to play in our monthly student evaluations, twice-a-year school recitals, the Music Teachers Association of California's Certificate of Merit Program and the National Piano Guild Program.
These performance and evaluation opportunities encourage focus and goal-setting to help make music study a more practical, successful, and socially-rewarding pursuit for our students. Just click below for more information!

If you've always dreamed of playing the violin, viola or cello, Slice of Life is a wonderful place to start out! The well-known and highly respected Suzuki Method, taught by our instructors is a great foundation for continued success and eventual mastery of this beautiful instrument. OUR FRENCH. SPANISH, & AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) PROGRAMS
~BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS!
GOING PLACES...
""HOLA!" "HALLO!" Parlez-vous Français?" If not, venture out with us to learn the beautiful French & Spanish languages. As both are Latin-based languages and two of the most spoken languages globally, they are particularly enriching avenues for you or your child to be further exposed to the wider world. Their Latin roots give an enhanced command and understanding of the English language while fluency provides a practical, increased accessibility to a vast array of historical literature, culture, and peoples of the broader western world.

We also offer classes in American Sign Language, which is considered a foreign language.
We offer classes for all ages in a fun and relaxed atmosphere that allows for plentiful conversation and real-life application of the vocabulary and concepts covered. Our method is a semi-immersion style that incorporates fun songs, familiar stories, and everyday tasks and activities that make the material useful and relevant. We succeed only when you discover that you really can express yourself easily and clearly in your chosen language!
Furthermore, students who study with us for 2 or more years are invited to put their skills to the test and travel to France, Quebec, or Spain with us on wonderfully exciting (and surprisingly economical ) class trips that we take every other year!

Learn to express yourself artistically with lessons offered through our distinguished fine arts program directed by founder Susan Minor, of Slice of Life Enrichment School.

After years of honing her art skills and winning 1st Place at many competitions, Susan who has taken many classes under award-winning former instructor, Alicia Garver, leads 10-week courses throughout the year to demonstrate how to enhance your skills.
